Arvin Sodhi developed an internet-based order management system in Carrier Services Group. Arvin played such a key role in this development that the system was named after him. “ARVIN” is a web-based Carrier Services order management system used to accept orders from residential resellers and wholesale DSL providers. ARVIN replaced an old process of using e-mail and Word documents. ARVIN allows customers to check their own order status without having to contact the Carrier Services Business Office and it can generate management reports. After a development period of approximately 8 months, ARVIN went live February 18, 2008. ARVIN produced the following benefits: improved customer satisfaction; improved operational efficiency; improved employee satisfaction; and reduced paper waste. Arvin Sodhi developed a system that saved the division $30,000 in annual expenses by reducing average SR time from 13 minutes to 9 minutes for residential resale, and from 25 minutes to 15 minutes for internet.
