Helene Bishop is a well respected veteran, with more than 30 years of dedicated service to MTS Allstream Inc. Recently retired, Helene continues to provide guidance, career consultation, support and most of all, friendship, to the many people of MTS Allstream Inc. Through her career span at MTS, Helene has held many positions in the area of Customer Care. She started as a Service Representative and retired as Director, Business Sales and Service. Her career focused on many lines of business. She played an integral part in the launch of MTS Cellular in May, 1988 working on the implementation of billing and customer service systems. She worked closely with a small team of other professionals to successfully launch the first cellular service in Manitoba. She motivated and challenged the whole team to provide and maintain a very high level of customer satisfaction. Helene’s success and commitment to this launch led her to another line of business that was in the process of strategic development, Internet. Helene assisted with transitioning employees from acquired internet organizations into the Customer Service Group. Again, Helene was a major contributor to, not only the success of the business, but to the career development of many individuals who decided to pursue a career with MTS Allstream Inc. She used her strong leadership skills to guide and mentor many of these employees, now front line managers. Prior to retiring, Helene managed both the consumer and business sales and service groups. Helene’s knowledge, strong commitment to customer service excellence, and the ability to be sensitive and understand the balance between work and family, are just a few of her strengths that are well known and highly respected. |
